What is Cloning?

Literally, the word “clone” (greek: clone, Klonos) means branch or twigs. 

Cloning means making production of two or more individuals (living thing) that are genetically identical. 

Cloning of Plants.

Ethically, there is no problem in cloning to plants. This practice is common cloning and long overdue. 

Animal Cloning

Meanwhile, there are differences of opinion on animal cloning. There are pros and cons. 

This practice is permissible as far as animal cloning is not tortured or abused.

Is the human cloning is allowed?

Meanwhile, there are various opinions about human cloning. Appears ethical questions and discussion. 

Ethically, whether justified if it advances the technology used to produce human embryos? 

This action is not your justification, because human embryos can not be seen as clumps of cells. 

The embryo is a private figure. Embryo has the right to live as individuals. Embryos should be respected. 

Thus, human intervention is destructive, harassing, or objectify embryos is unacceptable.

Cloning Process of Dolly the sheep

1.Mammary gland cells of White-faced sheep as donor nucleus cells and ovum of Blackface sheep as a recipient.

2.Ovum cell nucleus of Blackface sheep is removed by sucking out using a micro pipette.

3.Then, White-faced sheep mammary gland cells fused (combined) with the Black-faced sheep ovum without a nucleus. 

The incorporation process is assisted by the electric shock, thus forming a fusion between the ovum without a nucleus from Black-faced sheep with mammary gland cell of White-faced sheep.

4.The result of this fusion and then developed into embryos in a test tube and then be moved into the uterus of Black-faced sheep.

5.Then the the embryo develops and was born with the same characteristics with Whites-faced sheep. 

6.The cloning of Dolly the sheep includes technology nucleus transfer. DNA derived from an animal’s ovum which removed and replaced with DNA derived from somatic cells (skin, hair, etc.) another adult animals. 
 

Thus, the cloned sheep is a results of  breeding in vegetative (asexual) because the ovum is not fertilized by sperm.
